Every FixAEO account is a workspace. It’s created the moment you sign up, and you’re its owner. There’s no separate “create an organization” step, and nothing to set up before you can invite people. A workspace holds your brands, prompts, scan history, and billing. When you add teammates, they work inside that same workspace and see the brands you give them. This page covers seats, invites, roles, switching workspaces, and transferring ownership.

Seats by plan

A seat is one person in the workspace. Your plan sets how many you get:
  • Free — 1 seat
  • Lite — 1 seat
  • Growth — 3 seats
  • Enterprise — custom
Because Free and Lite are a single seat, the owner fills it and there’s no room for teammates. Multi-user teams are practical on Growth and Enterprise. Every limit is a default that can be raised on your account.
Both active members and pending invitations count toward your seat limit. An invite you’ve sent but nobody has accepted still holds a seat until it’s accepted or revoked.
The full plan matrix lives on Plans and limits.

Inviting teammates

Team management lives in Settings → People, under the Organization section of the settings rail. The People section is where owners and admins manage the workspace; it has People, Activity, and Roles views along the top. (Activity is an audit log of workspace changes; Roles appears on Enterprise, where custom roles are available.)
1

Open Settings → People

Open Settings from the sidebar footer, then pick People in the Organization section.
2

Click Add user

Choose each person’s role and brand access. Add rows one at a time, or use Import CSV (grab Download template first) to add several at once. The number you can add is bounded by your available seats.
3

Send the invitations

Click Send Invitation. Each person gets an email with a single-use link. They accept it after signing in, and then appear in your People list.
Switch the list to Pending to see invites that haven’t been accepted. From a pending row you can Resend invitation or Revoke invitation — revoking stops the link working and releases its reserved seat.

Roles and brand access

Each member has one role. Roles decide what a person can do; brand access decides which brands they can do it on.
  • Admin — manages the workspace: people, roles, and brand access, across every brand.
  • Editor — uses the app and makes changes on the brands they’re assigned.
  • Member — standard day-to-day access on their assigned brands.
  • Viewer – AEI only — read-only access to Answer Engine Insights (the analytics screens).
  • Viewer – AEI + AI Marketer — the same read-only insights, plus the AI Marketer chat.
  • Agent Operator — runs and manages your Agents (saved workflows).
For any member, set Brand access to All brands or Selected brands. With selected brands, tick the specific brands that person should see. To change someone later, open their row’s actions menu and choose Edit role and brand access.
Custom roles are Enterprise-only. On Enterprise, the Roles view lets an admin build a role from a specific set of permissions and assign it in place of a preset. On other plans, the six roles above are the full set.

Switching between workspaces

You can belong to more than one workspace — for example, your own and one a colleague invited you to. When you do, a Workspace section appears in the account menu (open it from the sidebar footer). It lists each workspace you’re in, shows your role in each, and marks the active one. Switching swaps everything: brands, prompts, history, and billing all belong to one workspace at a time. Data never merges across workspaces.

Transferring ownership

The owner is the one person tied to the workspace’s billing. To hand that over, open a member’s actions menu in the People list and choose Transfer ownership (only the current owner sees this option). The person you pick becomes the new owner and controls billing. You stay in the workspace as an Admin with full brand access. Because billing is tied to the workspace itself, the subscription carries over with ownership — there’s nothing to re-purchase.

Enterprise single sign-on and directory sync

On the Enterprise plan, admins can set up company sign-in and automatic provisioning under Settings → Enterprise. There are two cards: Single sign-on connects a standards-compliant OpenID Connect (OIDC) provider to one company domain, and Directory sync provisions and deactivates members over SCIM 2.0. The two are independent — you can turn on either without the other. FixAEO supports OIDC; SAML is not supported. Sign-on never grants access on its own — a person must already be invited or provisioned first.
Full setup steps, DNS verification, token handling, and the “don’t lock yourself out” checklist are on SSO and SCIM.
