The Templates tab in the Agents area is a gallery of ready-made agents you can start from. Instead of building a job step by step, you pick one that already does close to what you want, then adjust it. Templates are part of the Agents area, which is Beta. Everything an agent produces is a draft that waits for your review, and nothing is published to your site, sent, or written anywhere external on its own. Browsing this gallery runs nothing at all.
Building, browsing, and saving are broadly available. Running an agent needs an active paid plan. When you try to start one without a plan, FixAEO says so: “An active paid plan is required to start a workflow. Your saved results remain available.” See Plans and limits.

Two kinds of template

The gallery holds two things. Both open with a Use template button, but they lead to different places.

Guided recipes

Five guided recipes are live today. Each one is a fixed set of steps FixAEO wrote for a common job:
  • Get content recommendations — you have a published page and want to know what to improve. It returns a source-linked assessment and a prioritized list of edits.
  • Refresh an existing page — turn reviewed recommendations into a new draft. You get a before-and-after edit list plus a refreshed draft.
  • Create a brief and first draft — you’re starting a new article and have research sources to use. It produces an editable brief, then a sourced draft.
  • Improve an under-cited page — let FixAEO pick one of your owned pages that needs citation help, then show its evidence and recommended fixes.
  • Track weekly brand health — a repeatable week-over-week visibility and citation report, saved as a comparison of two complete weeks of captured answers.
On a recipe, Use template opens a short run setup form: pick the brand and fill in a few inputs, such as a page URL or a topic. You can also choose View workflow first to preview the steps before you commit to a run.

Prebuilt agent templates

Alongside the recipes, FixAEO offers prebuilt multi-step agent templates — ready-made starting points across the same categories. On one of these, Use template drops a copy into the visual builder so you can rename steps, change inputs, and edit the flow before you publish and run it. Think of a recipe as run-it-now and an agent template as edit-then-run.
The agent-template gallery is rolling out gradually, so some accounts see only the five guided recipes for now. New templates appear here as they’re published.
Everything sits in one grid, with a few ways to narrow it down.
  • Category chips across the top: All, Featured, and the categories that have templates — Content optimization, Content creation, Research, Report, and Outreach. The Featured row highlights a few. A category with nothing in it doesn’t show.
  • Search templates — a search box that filters by name, description, and tags as you type.
  • Template details — selecting any card opens a details dialog with the Creator, the Category, and a short Workflow summary, so you can read what a template does before you use it.
Built-in templates are made by FixAEO; the details dialog names the creator for each one. Opening a card or reading its details never starts a run.

Using a template

Find one that fits

Filter by category, search by keyword, or scan the Featured row. Open a card to read its details.

Preview or use it

On a guided recipe, choose View workflow to see the steps, or Use template to open the run setup form. On a prebuilt agent template, Use template opens the visual builder with an editable copy.

Set it up and run

Fill in the run inputs (recipe) or adjust the steps and publish (agent template). Running needs a paid plan.

Review before anything is used

A recipe run pauses for you to check the plan before it generates, and every agent stops at a review step before its output is used. You approve, edit, or reject. See Resources and review.
A template is a starting point, not a finished answer. Read the evidence an agent cites and review its output before you act on it. Nothing leaves FixAEO or goes live without your approval.

Submit a template

You can share one of your own saved agents with the community gallery. Use Submit a template, pick a custom agent you’ve saved, choose a category, and write a short public description. FixAEO reviews the submission before it can appear publicly. What’s submitted is a snapshot of the agent’s steps — your credentials, run data, and private resource contents are never included. Later edits to your agent don’t change a submission you’ve already sent.
