# Google Search Console

> Find the queries you rank for on Google but AI never cites.

Connect Search Console to see where your SEO wins aren't turning into AI citations.

The Google Search Console integration pulls your organic Google performance into FixAEO and lines it up against your AI visibility. It powers the **SEO** page: your clicks, impressions, CTR, and average position, plus the part worth connecting for — a list of the queries you already rank for where AI engines don't mention you.

## Connect it

Search Console connects per brand, so a multi-brand account can point each brand at its own property. Switch brands and connect again. Connecting requires a paid plan — see [Plans and limits](/plans-and-limits).

## What you get

Once connected, the **SEO** page in the sidebar fills in. Four tiles across the top: clicks, impressions, average CTR, and average position. Below that sit a trend chart, your top queries, your top pages, and a country breakdown with a donut. Ranges are 7, 30, 90, and 365 days.

FixAEO syncs hourly. Google itself lags roughly two to three days, so the page shows when the last pull happened.

## How does the rank-but-not-cited gap work?

This is the part worth connecting for. FixAEO takes your top 50 organic queries by clicks and checks each one against your tracked prompts and your AI answers. Every query lands in one of three states:

| ------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Tracked and cited  | You rank on Google and AI engines mention you                       |
| Tracked, not cited | You rank on Google, FixAEO asks AI this question, and you're absent |
| Untracked          | You rank on Google and FixAEO isn't asking AI about it at all       |

Each row carries a gap score, and the table sorts on it — highest first. The score weighs the traffic a query already brings you against how well you rank for it, so queries with real click volume and a strong Google position rise to the top. High clicks plus a strong rank plus no AI mention is the clearest signal that AI is skipping content Google already trusts.

Untracked rows get a **Track** button. One click turns that query into a tracked prompt, and the row re-classifies on the next scan. The card shows how much of your prompt pool is left and disables the button at the cap — see [Setting up your prompts](/setting-up-prompts).

  Start with the untracked rows that have real click volume. You're already ranking for those questions, which means the content exists — you just aren't measuring whether AI repeats it.

## Prompt suggestions from your organic queries

Below the gap card, FixAEO clusters your untracked Google queries into suggested prompts. The cached set loads for free every time. Regenerating it costs a model call, so it only runs when you press Refresh. Anything you've already tracked disappears from the list.

## Disconnecting

Disconnecting stops the hourly sync. Your existing performance data stays in place, it just stops updating. If Google revokes the token, the app shows a reconnect banner rather than silently freezing.
